Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an American-Mexican sportscaster. She currently works for ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. In 2016, she was a part of ESPN. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta was bilingual by when she was nine years old. It is this skill that helped her get her first job as an Univision production assistant in Miami. In Miami, she worked with the producers of national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her next assignment was a Sports Reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009 she relocated away from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent on KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reporting on stories on the trafficking of drugs and immigration across the border of Mexico and Texas. Border, she served as reporter for news on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5pm, then as a reporter for news on English until 9pm, after which she became a news anchor until 10pm, before returning on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. In addition, she was frequently required to act as a sports or weather anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The station then gave her greater responsibilities. She covered events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and the NBA Postseason, as well as the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and was the anchor. She was advertised as anchor of the sports segment for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. It was the same role as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on UniMas Network. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22 the 22nd of November, 1985, in Mexico City. She is older than her sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and relocated to Miami. After a while the family split up, and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. In June of 2006, she spent an entire week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed there. Antonietta who was in high school who had a vision of how she thought her future would be, visited Mount Union University to determine what she could get out of the college. In the end she was enthralled with the university. And they offered her major. Her studies were completed and she was accepted to the University with a degree studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU and WRMU, which she's a part. They formed a strong friendship. He inspired her to have confidence and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply influenced her. She, in turn, strived to fulfill his expectations and never let him down.
